Trustworthy AI agents become a design problem when formal proofs have to sit alongside model capability and operational review

Amazon is providing long-term support to the Lean Focused Research Organization, whose formal-verification work it says can help make trustworthy AI agents practical. TLDR IT surfaced the announcement; the important pattern is that assurance may need to be engineered into agent systems, not added as a policy statement after deployment.
Why this matters: For high-consequence agent workflows, identify the decisions that need deterministic checks, the claims that need evidence, and the actions that still require approval. Formal methods will not replace governance, but they can strengthen the controls around repeatable behaviour.
